Vilanculos Lodge

Vilanculos Beach Lodge is a small, exclusive and private lodge situated on mainland Mozambique, 5km from Vilanculos Village. It lies ±780 km north of Maputo, directly opposite the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago in the tropical Inhambane province.

From the comfort of the lodge you will be able to explore the exotic surroundings as well as have a perfect base to explore any of the archipelago islands.

The chalets are luxury en-suite with either one or two bedrooms. There are 10 chalets in total, 5 for 2 persons with bedroom, en-suite bathroom and veranda and 5 family chalets with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and veranda.

The Deluxe Chalet has 2 double en-suite bedrooms that sleep 4, sharing a central lounge area with a kitchenette and large furnished balcony. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and the bathrooms include shower, double basins and bidet. Decor and finishes are upmarket and custom-made. The Deluxe Chalet stands about 3 metres off the ground and the sea-views are awesome!  Please note this chalet is not suitable for families with very small children.

The maximum capacity of the lodge is 35 persons. Each chalet is built on ironwood stilts. The chalets have total privacy and a magnificent sea view.

The spacious thatched restaurant and bar offer traditional Mozambican and western cuisine. 

A swimming pool and deck is also available for a sundowner at the end of an exciting day.

Among the activities available are Walking /Hiking, Fishing, Diving/Snorkeling, Water Sport and many others.

The staff of the lodge can organize cruises on various catamarans on charter in the area as well as scuba diving packages.

Once comfortably settled in your chalet you will be able to explore the exotic surroundings (beautiful untouched beaches and African villages) as well as have a perfect getaway to any of the archipelago islands.
