Gabriels Beach Lodge

Gabriel's is now closed and will re-open as a luxury Lodge in 2007. This unfortunately means there is no longer any budget accommodation actually on the islands - only in mainland Vilanculos

Gabriel's Campsite offers budget accommodation on Mozambique’s Benguerra Island, in a tranquil setting with an abundance of clear skies, coconut palms and indigenous bush.

The lodge offer basic chalets, as well as a camping site, and the view from the beach bar is breathtaking. Chalets are very simple but comfortable and serviced everyday.

There are 15 chalets each accommodating 2 people.

A beach terrace restaurant and cocktail bar offers visitors a sumptuous breakfast, which is included in the rate and an a la carte menu for lunches and dinner.Seafood is predominant on the menu.

Activities include beach parties, volleyball, snorkeling, island hopping and Sunset Dhow cruises.

Scuba diving, yacht cruises and deep-sea fishing can be arranged upon request as can Big game fishing, including marlin and barracuda, is truly spectacular. Fauna and flora on the island abounds.
