At Benguerra Lodge we constantly strive to improve our guests’ overall experience. With this in mind we have, since the end of January, slowly introduced an informal Moçambique style butler service. The butlers were sourced from existing staff who volunteered for the intensive Butler training program. The butlers have really embraced the program with great enthusiasm and take pride in caring for their assigned guests.
Guests staying in the Casitas are assigned a personal butler on check-in to look after them for the duration of their stay. In keeping with our style of “bare foot luxury” our butlers are informal and friendly, adding a very special, personal touch to every guest’s visit.
 Cabanas:
The Cabanas are built right on the edge of the beach. Romantic and elegant, the suites offer guests the chance to experience the ultimate island getaway.
The Cabanas each have:

- Private deck with jacuzzi/plunge pool and sun loungers

 Villa Chibuene (aka Private Villa)
The new Private Villa at Benguerra Lodge has been completed and the first delighted guests stayed there in the second week of August. Villa Chibuene is built on the far western side of the main lodge and replaces our existing private Villa. All private Villa bookings are now accommodated in the new Villa.
The beautiful Villa Chibuene is spacious and blends naturally into the surrounding forest. It consists of a central main area with open plan kitchen, dining room and comfortable private lounge. Through wide sliding doors, guests walk out onto the wooden deck, where hours can be whiled away relaxing next to the swimming pool, or sipping refreshing cold drinks under the thatched sala while admiring the sea view.
The main area is flanked by two spacious en-suite bedrooms, each with its own mosaic outside shower. Similar to the Casita’s the rooms have large shutter doors which leads to a private section of the deck. .

Freshly caught fish, calamari and
crab are tantalisingly prepared together with exotic Portuguese
dishes. Meals are relaxed affairs served in different settings
and always with unsurpassed personal attention.

Picnics
Picnics are a speciality of Benguerra Lodge. The staff will
set up your own private picnic either on the beach or in a
secluded shaded spot.
Benguerra is a snorkeller and diver's paradise. The Lodge
has a fully equipped diving facility to take you to breathtakingly
unspoilt reefs. In crystal clear waters, watch the vast array
of jewel-like fish and the extraordinary shaped corals.
Adventure
For the more
adventurous, there's the thrill of a night dive or diving
to one of the many wrecks in the area.The Moçambique
channel offers anglers the experience and exhilaration
of fighting marlin and other game fish.
The Lodge has a professional and fully equipped team with
6.6m Acecats to take you into the deep. Saltwater fly fishing
is also available with the Lodge's cutomised fly-fishing
boat. First-time fishermen will be helped every step of the
way.
