Aguia
Negra is ideally situated on the beach at Vilanculos and
has some amazing views across the sea to Benguerra Island.
Aguia Negra, with its tall A-framed
chalets, blends in with the natural surroundings and is only
a stone’s throw away from the beach.
The 12 en-suite chalets, a loft included,
are cosy havens with log furniture made from indigenous wood
and beautiful thatched roofs.
Each chalet accommodates 6 people in three
rooms.
All chalets have mosquito nets on all the
beds and hot and cold running water and flush toilets in
the bathroom. The chalets are serviced daily. They
are arranged in a semi circle around the swimming pool with
the restaurant and bar in the centre.
They now have in addition to the A frame chalets, newly
built chalets with air conditioning TV and bar fridge.
Fresh seafood is the specialty in the restaurant, which
provides meals, and light snacks throughout the day. The
upstairs bar has a large deck overlooking the resort and
ocean and is a great place for a sundowner.
The restaurant and bar with its own views allows guests
to relax and enjoy their drinks and meals. There is satellite
TV in the Bar for the sport enthusiasts.
Various activities are on offer at the resort such as motor
boat trips to the Bazaruto Archipelago, yacht charters aboard
the catamaran “Free Spirit”which can be chartered
for the day or to stay aboard, wind surfing, water-skiing
and volleyball.
Free Spirit is owned & operated by the owners of Aguia
Negra, and bookings for daily, sunset, overnight and 5-day
island cruises are available. All cruises are available on
a full or self-catering basis, for those who wish to provide
their own food and beverage.
Fishing and Diving from Free Spirit can also be arranged.
At Aguia Negra you can choose to relax and suntan around
the pool in front of the Bar or stroll down to the beach
and enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
